Some Philanthropists and devoted brothers of Islam register the society named as MUSLIM EDUCATIONAL & WELFARE SOCIETY (MEWS) under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and Founded a College named as MORADABAD MUSLIM DEGREE COLLEGE (M.M.D.C.) situated at Kathghar, Moradabad on no gender bias, free of caste, creed and colour discrimination in 1996.

Standing magestically on the banks of River Ganga M.M.D.C as a Self Financing Institute having Permanent Affiliation from M.J.P. Rohilkhan University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The college has also get the Minority Character from State Govt. in 1998.

Academic halls were established for Arts Social Sciences subjects English, Urdu, Hindi, History, Political Science, and Geography at B.A. level. The batches of initial year brought laurels, name and fame to the college through 97% successful results. The successive batches took it as a tradition and are still maintaining it.

The college has got affiliation of two more subjects Economics and Sociology in 2002, Understanding the need of the hour, the college has flattered its wings to introduce some more courses as B.Sc. (Biology & Maths Group). B.Com and three more subjects in B.A. Home Science, Education and Psychology from 2008, with a view to fulfill the growing demands of the time.

With a view to the challenges of new millennium, where the growing economies are leading to cut in Jobs opportunities for plain graduates and post graduates, the college had been quick to read the writings on the wall and responded to the need of the hour by inducting some Job oriented courses such as -

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pathology & Diagnostic Techniques	(P.G.D.C.P.)
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application	(P.G.D.C.A.)
3. Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication	(P.G.D.J.M.C.)
4. Post Graduate Diploma in Portfolio Management.	(P.G.D.P.M.)

These courses have added to the glory of M.M.D.C. through its 100% successful result and 90% of immediate absorption of its students in Jobs in both government as well as private sector.

The College is committed to provide the highest of quality education to its pupils. the thrust and the emphasis is the same but is has changed with the best in Education and infrastructure.

Since, its inception in the span of 12 years, M.M.D.C. has achieved eminence above every other seat of learning in and around the city and won praises by virtue of its curriculum and discipline. M.M.D.C. earned a distinction of being a college with healthy traditions and effective teaching by qualified teachers.

The responsibility of enabling our youth to earn a decent and respectable livelihood, efforts are on to introduce new courses that is -
